This is proof that I do in fact know the guys in the band, which I featured in my recent photographs.

I often enjoy the effects of the slow shutterspeed induced by low light. I hate to use the flash on a band onstage.

This is a fuller shot of the band featuring the bass player from the previous photo. Definitely check them out if you get the chance.

This is James Whiton my bass-playing friend. He's really good. He might be the only person in the world who can play heavy metal on an upright bass -- with a bow no less. If you ever get chance to see him, don't miss it. We saw him with the Eric McFadden Trio last night at Mike's Tavern in Kansas City, MO.

Trust me. It's a lizard. An Iguana to be exact. Iguanas do wear berets sometimes, as proven by this representation.

Does anybody know what kind of tree this is? They are all over Lawrence and they are all sprouting these pretty white buds right now. If you know, please leave it in my comments.
