Dragonfly


The Dragonfly according the Medicine Cards (authored by my old friend David Carson) represents "the illusionary facade we accept as physical reality." This guy was hanging out right on our front door frame the other night. We stood there and took pictures to our heart's content and he didn't care. Dragonflies seem to show up when I get a little too attached to, or involved with, the temporal.

Sizzle and Lucy


The T-Bones' mascot is named Sizzle. My wife Lucy charmed into posing for a photo before the game the other day. I was wondering about a nickname for The T-Bones. "The Steaks"? I think I like "The Meat."

We took this picture on Memorial Day at Lone Star Lake east of Overbrook and south of Lawrence, KS. The lake seems nice and we might return for a camping experience. We don't know these guys.

I don't often find myself riding in the cab of a truck hauling hay bales. But now that I'm back in Kansas, the chances of this increase exponentially. After all, I grew up in the Hay Capital of the World.
