We had excellent seats for W's speech about mental health. I was there mainly just to watch it unfold and observe the periphery. If you click on the photo above right you will notice a male and a female photographer in the upper left quadrant. Prior to George's entry they were, as my wife put it, "engrossed" with each other. The dude definitely had something working. The other two guys, though you might have a hard time seeing, are pouring into laptop computers. They're all seated right in front of the podium. I couldn't figure out what those guys were doing with computers right there, but it occurred to me that perhaps the 45-60 minutes prior to the event, where they have to just sit and wait, might be a great time for them to do their netstuff, assuming they have some kind of wireless connection.

He comes closer
This shot above in the middle, makes me think of a group of vultures, or jackals. I could see their thoughts: "C'mon...I want his pants to drop. Let me make that million I deserve."

Mr. President passed just several feet in front of me shaking hands, so I had plenty of opportunity for close shots. He had no less that five black suited men with corkscrew wires attached to their ears, close enough to hug him at all times. Regarding the center photo immediately below this text, I thought it amazing that a character from Night of the Living Dead was able to get in and get so close.
